Centreless grinding is a precise machining process used for cylindrical parts. Unlike traditional grinding, the component doesn’t require centres!. Key components include grinding wheels (made of materials like silicon carbide or diamond), the work rest blade and guides and a regulating wheel that maintains the workpiece’s diameter.
This method achieves tight tolerances and consistent results and the process offers itself to automation with a wide range of loading and unloading options available.

Up to 8 axes machines with one of the widest ranges of loading and unloading systems are available from bowl feeding, gantry loading to robot systems. Measuring systems can also be configured for new levels in centreless grinding productivity.
